The pathway of indulgence always leads to ruin. Those who begin with forbidden handshakes, and then move to forbidden embraces, then to forbidden kisses are sliding down a road that ends in a precipice.
It is very difficult to commit just one sin, one sin often leads to another. There are some sins which no one can commit alone. One of these is adultery and fornication in act. The sin of a man will lead to a multitude of sin in his children. The pleasure of a few minutes may lead to eternal disgrace and agony. Please be wise!!!
All who walk close to the Lord should be more careful. All who have privilege positions and relationships with the Lord should beware. Their mistakes can be most far-reaching in consequences. One of such persons was Abraham. He was a friend of God. He walked with God but was not patient enough to wait for the Lord to give him a son by Sarah his wife. He rushed ahead of God and had Ishmael with Hagar his wife’s maid. The consequences of that sin are the nearly one billion Ishmaelites (Muslims) who are on earth today and who are lost to Christ.
When a man commits adultery or fornication, he has decided to ruin his future happiness on earth and the future happiness of the one he has decided to commit fornication with. The pleasure and fulfillment that adultery or fornication promises are mirages. They are non-existent. You will never be the same after you have committed adulterer or fornication.
If you live near a woman whose looks excite and tempt you, run away. Leave that part of the town and if need be, run away to the next town. Do not stay around and hope to resist. Wisdom lies in running.
Don’t condemn yourself.”There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.(Romans8:11). Too many Christians labor under the burden of condemnation and this is one of the tools the devil uses to keep us in bondage. He knows that the problem of sin has been dealt with, and so he uses the weapon of sin consciousness. In other words, he makes them “feel” condemned, what matters is what the word of God says. Understand this: the issue of sin has been dealt with once and for all by the death of Jess Christ on the cross of Calvary. Jesus completely destroyed the hold of sin over us, and that is why the Bible says “sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under law, but under grace” (Romans6:14)
There’s no need for anyone of God’s children to keep wearing the heavy cloak of self-condemnation. If by any chance you do something wrong, you have the right to obtain forgiveness: “if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1John 1:9). After that, you don’t need to keep condemning yourself over the same matter. Above all don’t try to live up to the expectations of others; live up to expectation of the Word of God for you. That way, you’ll experience the liberty that comes from walking by faith, and not by your feelings. God no longer condemns you, so don’t condemn yourself.
TINA.
