Just as the parable of the talent related in the Bible by Jesus, so God had given each one of us a talent. I don't think we fully understand the potential that God has placed on the inside of us to speak things into our lives and the lives of others. And the best place to start is the first chapter of the Bible where we see all through that chapter the phrases "And God said" and then "And it was so". Now this is interesting because it says the earth was without form, void, and dark and then we see God speaking and the things He spoke are the things He saw. Then in verse 26 God said "Let us make man in our likeness" so the question is like God how. You can speak and see what you say. Notice in verse 3 God said "Let there be light", He already gave it a name and a purpose so He wasn't just speaking He was releasing what was on the inside of him. Hebrews 11:3 says " Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so the things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."
By his word, mingled with faith, God created everything we are seeing today. Matthew 15:18 says "But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man." And Romans 10:10 says "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness". So it's not just a natter of speaking, but it's a matter of you releasing something that's in you for you to see it on the outside. And just like God released what was in him He says the same about you "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." It's what you release from the inside that will show up on the outside.
This principle is follow through out the Bible, Joshua 1;8 "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate on it day and night, that thou mayest observe to do all that it written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." Notice how he was going to make his way prosperous by what he released from the inside. Notice what Psalm 19:14 says "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditations of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight", why did he say that. In Psalm 141:3 he said "Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth, keep the door of my lips." Notice he said set a watch or guard before my mouth and keep the door of my lips, what is a door it's an entrance way so your mouth is a entrance way into your life. That's why he said set a guard before my mouth because when you have something in your heart and you open your mouth and speak it that thing is coming good or bad.
In Matthew 12:34.35, Jesus said that either good or bad things come from a man's heart by the words he speaks. And when those words come out they will not stop until they bring to pass what you spoke. In Joshua 6:26 Joshua pronounced a curse on whoever rebuilt the city of Jericho and in the process of time he died and after at least a hundred years in 1Kings 16:34 that curse came to pass just as he spoke. The man was dead and gone, but he released something before he died and those words continued to work until they were accomplished. He was dead, but his words were still alive and working. Well doesn't Proverbs 18:21 say " Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." It’s now therefore very clear that, every word coming out of our mouth or the mouths of others count. We should therefore be very careful about our declarations and about others declarations concerning us.
